Project Overview
Design and construction of a new 485m2 Co-op Local Store.
The project comprised the demolition, removal and remediation of an existing sloping brownfield site for the construction of a new local store. The site was bounded on three sides by residential premises and also commercial premises, alteration works affecting these premises were required to allow the construction and continued liaison with the occupiers was crucial throughout the build process. The construction comprised a steel framed unit on reinforced foundations with external cladding details comprising metal cladding, brickwork, cedar cladding, and curtain walling. The sloping site being utilised to create an undercroft service and storage area.
External works comprise Section 184 entrance alterations, car parking, service roads and a concrete service yard.
