Project Overview
This project comprised the design and construction of four light industrial units within one 19,000 square foot building. The site preparation consisted completion of the demolition of existing buildings occupying the site followed by ground remediation, and re levelling of the site to remove a significant fall to achieve acceptable site access level requirements.
The design incorporated piled foundations with steel framed structures and metal profiled cladding with feature masonry walls, with insitu concrete floors. Internally each unit consisted a steel and concrete mezzanine floor area with wc facilities and heating and lighting, units are divided by jumbo studwork walls with blockwork masonry perimeter walls.
Externally the buildings were surrounded with access paving with tarmacadam and paving front access and delivery areas and highway alterations to provide separate access points, undertaken under a 278 agreement.
The project is designed and constructed to a BREEAM very good accreditation.
